A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to nonexistent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated address or has made a typographical error. The disadvantage of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk email messages, but this issue can be fixed by using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all mailbox effortlessly in case you’ve got a cloud hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet exceptionally user-friendly, and it will enable you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and next to each of them you’ll find a mini "Catch-all" button. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking on it twice will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this feature enabled or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated package with us and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create using any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click that icon. In the exact same fashion you’ll be able to remove the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will inform you if you’re trying to activate a second catch-all email address for a particular domain or if there’s enabled email forwarding, but it will never disable or alter any feature automatically or without your approval.
